Why C2 exists.
Christopher Shirley started C2 with a thesis that's only gotten more true: small and mid-market businesses are underserved by both ends of the IT services market. The big national MSPs treat you like a row in a CRM. The local one-person shops can't credibly cover security, after-hours, or vendor relationships at scale. There's a missing middle.
C2 is the middle path — senior engineering experience, modern security tooling, and the partner network to back it up, without the corporate overhead that gets passed along to you in your monthly invoice. Whether you're a five-person practice or a multi-site organization, the service model is the same.
Two decades of operating IT environments means Christopher has seen the failure modes you haven't yet. The patch that broke a line-of-business app on Wednesday. When you call C2, you talk to a senior engineer — not a tier-1 script reader, not a case manager, not a queue. The person who picks up is the same person who fixes the problem. Two decades of engineering experience on the line, every time.
Documented institutional knowledge.
Every client environment has up-to-date documentation: network diagrams, AD structure, vendor escalation paths, license inventories. Knowledge doesn't live in one person's head. When a new partner contractor joins your account, nothing is lost in translation.
Vendor-neutral by default.
We don't have an incentive to push you onto a specific EHR, ERP, CAD platform, or PSA. We support what you run. When something materially better exists for your situation, we'll tell you — but the recommendation comes from your interest, not our margin.
Pricing you can predict.
Flat monthly per device for managed IT. Per-network for monitoring and upkeep. Hardware purchases and project work quoted up front. No surprise hourly bills. No 'oh, that's outside your tier' emails. The price you sign for is the price every month.

We're principal-led: Christopher up front, supported by a vetted bench of senior contractors and a network of vendor partnerships that act as your extended team.
When the SOC pages at 3am, it's Huntress' 24/7 analysts on the line — humans, watching every endpoint we manage, every minute of every day. When a storage tier needs scaling, Wasabi's engineering team is on the other end of a partner channel. When Microsoft 365 has a tenant-level issue, we escalate through the partner channel, not the consumer support queue. The same is true across our partners: Fortinet, Barracuda, Adobe, Dropbox, Arrow.
The math is simple: most small to mid-market IT problems don't need a hundred engineers. They need one senior engineer who knows your environment — plus the right tools and the right partner network behind them. That's what C2 is.
